Chevon is a very healthy, extremely tasty alternative to other red meats.

Chevon Recipes

We are always interested in how our customers prepare our goat meat.

Goat Stroganoff with Mushrooms
2lbs. of Ground Goat or Goat Stew Meat
1 small onion chopped
10 oz of sliced mushrooms
1 clove of garlic
1 cup of broth
2 tsp. paprika
1 tsp salt
1 cup of Sour Cream
2 TBSP flour
1 TBSP of mustard ( optional )
This could be made with either ground goat or goat stew meat

Put goat meat in the bottom of a slow cooker

Cover with onions, garlic and mushrooms, then add broth, salt and paprika
Cook on low 6-8 hours
Mix sour cream, flour and mustard, then add to meat mixture, blend well. Cook on low for 15-20 minutes.
This could be served over rice or noodles.

Boneless Goat Leg Roast
Boneless leg roast ( approximatly 1.5 lbs ), butterfly  push down to lay flat then cover with the following seasonings.
Amount of seasonings may vary depending on roast size.
1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion
1/4 teaspoon dried minced garlic
Let it sit in that marinade for a few hours, then stuff with whatever Mediterranian veggies you'd like.  Ex: sliced Kalamata olives, some pureed roasted red pepper and garlic etc...
Cook in oven at 375 until it reaches the desired temperature. ( Approximately 35 mins )
